Here's a video of Dolcim performing at CMAR 2009

How about we get one of these fests in So Cal? Maybe even organize something similar in the nether regions of Mexico, same with Japan. Let's get going CMHWAK community, we got work to do.

For Want Of + Adobe Homes. West Coast Tour

The good and amazingly awesome dudes in For Want Of & Adobe Homes. are touring the west coast currently, hitting up places such as Pomona (CA), Eugene (OR), Santa Rosa (CA), and Las Vegas (NV). I failed them drastically by not getting them a show on Jan 14th, but you can still probably help them out. At any rate, check them out. Adobe Homes. posted some pretty cool pictures of their new shirts (1 & 2) on their facebook page and For Want Of posted tracks from their new (and fucking awesome) album (Smoke) on soundcloud. Woo Hoo!
Here's the facebook page with tour info (there's also a thread on the forums that's more in depth and with some awesome flyers).

Chaos in Tejas 2012 (& the one time only reunion of Moss Icon)

So unless you don't have a facebook or tumblr, or reach out to other forums (cmhwak thread), then you haven't seen this:

Moss Icon is in there somewhere, actually right by Best Coast (oh hell yeah), click the picture and it'll enlarge. So what does this mean? It means that Moss Icon is reuniting at Chaos in Tejas 2012 for a supposed one time deal. If you thought American Nightmare reuniting was totally cool, then get bent man, Moss Icon is back (for one day/night only).

More info at the Chaos in Tejas website and facebook.

**Also, considering Ryan Gosling made an appearance at the American Nightmare shows, who do you think will show up the Moss Icon/Chaos in Tejas 2012 experience?

News: pg.99 to reunite and perform "document #8" in its entirety

From VLV:

Sterling, Virginia punk rock band pg.99 is returning for a live performance at this summer's Best Friends Day in Richmond, Virginia. Also known as pageninetynine, the influential group is reuniting after an 8 year absence of activity to perform their seminal album "document #8" in its entirety.

On Jayson Green, "skramz", and getting soft

I have no idea who the kid who sent this is, but this is just some food for thought.  If you're reading this blog, are twelve years old, and use the word "skramz" with complete sincerity, you really need to get off the internet and take some advice from Usurp Synapse:

And if you make videos of yourself doing vocal covers of Saetia songs, this is especially true.

Can we just stop this shit in 2011? Please?

Yours,
CMHWAK

What happened to After School Knife Fight?

This is brief history of what happened to After School Knife Fight. But really, it's mostly about two people (Brandon Velestuk and Kevin Smart) since they moved to my city after Kamloops. My impressions indicate that both are pretty embarrassed about the band.

Jacen Beers has probably disappeared but I remember a VLV thread about fixed gear bikes that linked to something he posted.

Brandon Velestuk was in an awesome band called the Dirt On (suggested "Swan Dive") and has since been not too active with music. The band had a lot of interesting guitar work and was sort of mathy and different. He does lots of design work (Gigposters) and has done work for Metropol.

Kevin Smart has been the most musically active and his projects include:

Pay the Pipers

We've been busy but keep checking this page. And support Brent Eyestone who runs Magic Bullet which has been in better bands than you and put out better releases (ie. Pg. 99, Majority Rule) than your two-release tape label.

Pay the Pipers.

Brent entered a Budweiser contest and is riding on us to keep his joke "band" in the contest, who have found themselves in the big finals against only a handful of others in the country. To quote the man himself

Basically, go tick "LIKE" at http://www.bandofbuds.com/market/washington-dc

And expect something fun from CMHWAK for Christmas.
